Funding Estimate Will Not Save or Creates as Incomplete

Overview

When you attempt to create a Funding Estimate (FE) in CORE, you may encounter an error that says "Unable to save a new funding estimate," or the FE appears to be created but is incomplete when you open it. This article explains the most common cause and how to resolve it.

Most Common Cause: Duplicate Enrollment

The most frequent root cause of an FE that will not save is a duplicate enrollment on the student's account. CORE cannot create a clean FE when a student has more than one active enrollment record, and will fail silently or partially during the save.

Before assuming there is a system error, check whether the student has a duplicate enrollment in Campus Ivy. If you see two enrollment records for the same program or start date, submit a request to have the duplicate removed. Once the duplicate is resolved by the support team, the FE will save correctly.

How to Submit a Request

Email fasupport@campusivy.com with the following:

  • Student name and ID number
  • A description of the FE error (attach a screenshot if available)
  • Note if a duplicate enrollment is visible, or if you are unsure

The support team will investigate the student's enrollment records, remove any duplicate, and confirm when the FE can be completed.

Other Possible Causes

  • Loan amounts not populating: This can occur when a student re-enters a program and the loan data has not been fully refreshed. Submit a ticket with the student's name, ID, and the semester the FE is for.
  • FE stuck in "Needed" status: If an FE was submitted weeks ago but still shows as Needed, submit a ticket referencing the submission date. The team will review and schedule funding.
